Full Moon Circles

Full Moon Circles are held at 7:30 PM on the Friday closest to the Full Moon (see dates below) at:

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis 333 Dubois Road Annapolis, MD 21401

(We invite all women to full moon events, including cis women and trans-women.  Individuals under 18 must attend with an adult woman.)

When we meet in person, dress is casual and whatever you feel most comfortable in.  Full Circle is faith-based program of Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis (UUCA) that integrates a variety of  earth-based traditions with the principles of Unitarian Universalism.

Full Moon Circles are experiential programs involving singing, dancing, drumming, meditation, laughing, and artwork.  We have excessive amounts of fun, creating spiritual experiences for ourselves and others, sharing what’s happening in our lives, and deepening our connections to the cycles of nature.

Things you might see at a Full Moon Circle:

*Cleansing--we release negative influences before entering sacred space through smoke, scent, sound, or breath

*Chanting--we put ourselves into a sacred mindset through communal sound

*Casting circle--we protect our energy by creating a sacred boundary

*Calling quarters and center--we bless our space by calling in positive energy

*Check in--we get to know each other and reflect on our rhythms and needs

*Ritual--this varies from Moon to Moon

*Fare-welling quarters and center--we thank the positive energies that have helped us

*Releasing circle--we release protective energy back into the environment around us and sing to remind ourselves that our bond is unbreakable

*Grounding--we return from a sacred mindset into the mundane world

*Feasting--self-explanatory :)

If anything during the evening feels uncomfortable to you, you can sit quietly and observe.  Ours is a guilt-free practice and we want everyone in attendance to feel comfortable.

We meet indoors in the UUCA Sanctuary - when it gets warmer, we will meet outside depending on weather.

Please bring a small (for 15-20 people) savory or sweet snack to share for feasting after our event.
There is an ADA Accessible lift to the main level inside.
